They charged me twice for the coupon and just like your good customer service story, they refunded my money and gave me a $50 American Express gift card on top.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05448686476509028281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778156593001251884.post-80096938675730372622011-07-21T14:11:59.218-04:002011-07-21T14:11:59.218-04:00I have had similar issues with restaurant.com cert...I have had similar issues with restaurant.com certs in the past and have learned that MOST are weekday only. As a safeguard I always call the restaurant to ask prior to purchasing and only buy them when the site has 70%-80% off deals. I have exchanged certs before with no problem because of restaurants backing out of the contract. It has been my experience that a lot of places sign up for this service and then change their minds when they lose money on the deals. I usually don't frequent the places that change their minds and do not warn customers though, because it's a kind of bait and switch.KillerOkapihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00942392795731122756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778156593001251884.post-67438096074266014702011-07-21T08:03:46.738-04:002011-07-21T08:03:46.738-04:00Both good comments. I understand about warning people, but I'm not trying to stick it to the guy and I like to help local pizzerias, not hurt them. I think if you see an offer online, you should be OK if you check with the establishment before you purchase the coupon to make sure there aren't any hidden restrictions.Pizza Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10280665603124117834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778156593001251884.post-83892265984739681722011-07-20T17:44:17.535-04:002011-07-20T17:44:17.535-04:00I'm sorry, that's just poor customer servi...I'm sorry, that's just poor customer service. It's not your fault that he didn't know what he was getting himself into. You should see if you could get your money back from the coupon place. Most coupon places (like Groupon) pay the establishments in three payments -- they say it's in case people ask for a refund. I personally think you should also print the name of the pizza place that did this, to forewarn other potential buyers of that coupon.Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04465184138365516108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778156593001251884.post-35686940458516093402011-07-20T17:13:34.721-04:002011-07-20T17:13:34.721-04:00I'm guessing you mean Restaurant.com. I've had no problems with Groupon but have run into similar issues with Restaurant.com.

In addition, I've definitely noticed lousier or more cautious service from places when I'm using a restaurant.com coupon. Usually the server will cater to other tables before ours because they know we have to tip a mandatory 18%, as stipulated in restaurant.com's "coupons".Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18235784036906916507noreply@blogger.com
