There was a brief article in yesterday's Democrat and Chronicle about Tony Proietti, owner of 2 Ton Tony's pizzeria in Irondequoit. It recites a bit of the family history, going back to the old Proietti's Pizza on Goodman St. Oddly, there's no mention of Proietti's restaurant in Webster, which has been around for some time and which turns out a pizza very similar in style to 2 Ton Tony's.2 Ton Tony's was also featured in an April 15 article in the same paper. When yesterday's piece appeared I at first thought that maybe the D & C was just recycling its material, but the bylines for the two articles are different.
